Why I Don't want to Inherit College Education from My Parents...

“Get good marks, you have to get admission in the same college where I have finished my studies, my father was also in that same prestigious institution”- Golden word by every typical father.  The same melodrama is quite famous everywhere in majority of Indian family.  Our parents want us to score good marks so that they can flaunt while attending relative’s wedding.

These days student’s life is being pressurising day by day. Every day some new curricular comes that brings a new level of competition for students.

I always had desire to pursue Journalism but I had to pick Engineering because I had to follow parental tradition and that too from the same institution.  

I generally oppose inheritance of college education because it turns frustrating sometimes.  

There are 5 valid reasons which will surely prove that- “Why You Shouldn't Inherit College Education from your Parents”-

1)  Today opportunity scenarios are changing, requirement of corporates are changing and that of the society as well.

Carribbean PM’s Visit to LPU Campus

Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a university which is famous for its extraordinary educational system that always comes in the news headlines for its exceptional pace towards the growth of educational system in India. This time LPU campus was honoured by the Hon’ble Prime Minister (PM), Mr. Roosevelt Skerrit of the Commonwealth of Dominica.

The Hon’ble PM attended the 6^th convocation ceremony of LPU that was held on 23^rd February, 2016 at the University Campus “Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium”.

The Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Mr. Roosevelt Skerrit, chaired the sixth convocation of the Lovely Professional University (LPU).

Convocation ceremony is indeed like a dream come true in the lifetime of a student that encourages them to perform even better for their bright future; an educational institution should not avoid making it memorable period in their students’ life and Yes, LPU made it memorable for their students.

During the occasion, Prime Minister Skerrit encouraged the students by quoting some enthusiastic statements, "Believe in yourself, your remarkable country and the creator. Step out with great force to face the world on positive notes; you, too, can become PM, CEO or a leading global entrepreneur. By your great doings, you too, can encourage and motivate the young generation next to you." It was very zealous for students that turned the atmosphere with full of positive vibes among them.

No doubt that LPU’s initiative will also help our country for formulation of healthy relations with foreign countries. I believe that the visit of Hon’ble PM Skerrit will surely depict a positive indication of our country in terms of friendly relations with other countries.

The Hon’ble PM also expressed his wholehearted feelings for being a part of 6^th concoction ceremony of LPU. Throughout the event he was encouraging the crowd of students and other dignitaries that made the convocation as one of the legendry event in the history of educational system of India.

The person selling chaat outside a minister’s house could become a minister himself someday. The people here are driven and filled with passion. We affect change in society which causes waves of revolution throughout the country. Delhi is truly the place where an ‘Aam Aadmi’ can also be #madeofgreat.

One must check out the Lotus temple at night. If you want to visit a quaint and peaceful place, Humayun's Tomb is beautiful and morbidly divine. Delhi also prides itself of being one of the greenest urban cities in the country. The most popular area in Delhi is of course Connaught Place, which is known for more than being a economic hub. A serene place to be is Akshardham temple. When you visit India Gate also try the rocket kulfi. It is simply amazing! Among more modern man-made structures see the Delhi Metro which is known not just for its utility, but for its design.

 Delhi is the most regal city in the country. They are connected by more than just a metro, but by its political spirit and love for change. The people of Delhi are always ready to work for the better of this country. (You are welcome, by the way.) Delhiites are a mixed bunch of motivated and people. We know how to work hard and also how to party. Life here is much more balanced and meaningful, because that’s what Delhi does to us. This city brings out the best in all of us.

Drive, Design and Connect, these are what make Delhi truly great. Just like Tata Motors, Delhi too is #madeofgreat. Although I’m living Mumbai now to take care of my grand mother, I do really do miss Delhi. Don’t worry, Delhiites, I’ll be back soon! Mwah!

Healthy body and healthy diet is sign of an intelligent student. Nowadays being knowledgeable is just not adequate to compete in the present educational system.

Have you ever thought, what all do you need in order to become a smart student?? Well, I will always point out college infrastructure, campus, college surroundings and yes, university’s concern towards Paper Pattern, Syllabus & Teaching Staff. These all are the ingredients which are required to make a university completely professional.

Gone those days when people used to have only books for their studies, now this is an epoch when they require all sorts of amenities to do proper studies as this era is for tough competitors.

If you want to compete with this competition then I would say “Lovely Professional University” is a perfect place as it provides all amenities in a single roof.

As I mentioned earlier that for best level of education you need to have all sort of facilities which I believe every institution should provide and Lovely Professional University has that level of standard.

An year ago when I and my friends completed our law degree from Mumbai University we all planned to do our LLM from LPU but due to some financial difficulties I couldn’t shift to Jalandhar and couldn’t take admission for that academic year but one of my friend who was a pure vegetarian and Jain by religion took admission at LPU.

Firstly he was very happy to see vegetarian food at University campus. He spoke to us and shared his personal experience for being a part of LPU.

It’s good to know that LPU has taken each and everything into their mind regarding all factors which promote education & its environment. As we all know almost 60% population in India is vegetarian and LPU campus has all green marked products in their university campus.

He informed us that that Dominos, CCD, Coffee Chocolade, Subway etc are also available within the campus. They serve the food strictly with green dot.

LPU is situated in Jalandhar-Delhi, Punjab with the academic staff of 3,500 who are highly qualified and well versed with the modern education system.

Every day I used to speak to him regarding his experience as even I wanted to take admission into LLM for the next academic year.

The only thing which I was hesitating to go to LPU was that my friend always informed me about vegetarian food and being Non-Vegetarian Brahmin I always love to eat non-veg.

Few months later my friend only informed me about some awesome non-vegetarian food places outside the campus. After knowing it I was really happy.
