My Life with him-Togetherness

Credit-techcircle.vccircle.com

After spending such a long time of 5 years with Manmeet (My best half) we at last decided to take a further move for our life and he proposed me for marriage. It was not that easy for both of us because he was Sikh and I born and brought up in Brahmin family. 15th February 2015, he came to meet my family and also to ask about our marriage. I introduced Manmeet to my family and as expected they didn’t greet him properly or I can say that they didn’t even bother to ask him about his purpose to meet them.

I didn’t like my parents’ behavior towards Manmeet but I had no other choice. After 1 month’s aloofness, Manmeet met me and asked me to elope with him as we knew that our community wouldn’t be accepting us. I didn’t have any other choice except to accept his proposal, still I convinced him to not to elope but our love made us to do it.

He was software engineer by profession and had average salary in which we could have get middle class living standard but unfortunately to say we didn’t get any rental premises for housing purpose as the amount was extremely high which agents used to ask us as their charges and somewhere they had an inkling of our elopement; so the response was not perfect at all and somewhere we were hesitating to take help from them.  Few days ago I came to know that my parents have made a false police complaint against Manmeet that was also one of the reasons which was not allowing us to take any sort of risk.

For a month we took shelter in hotel rooms where we used to spend 1,000/- bucks every day including food and one room with minimum amenities.  It was a high time for us to take rental premises for housing purpose I told Manmeet that we should take some step now and should consult some trustworthy and perfect housing service provider. He took me seriously and assured me that we will get our home soon in coming 15 days.

After 5 days Manmeet came back from office and told me about housing.com (https://housing.com/in) which his office colleague suggested him to deal with. Yes, they are the best housing service providers. Subsequently next day we contacted housing.com and informed them about our home requirements and positively we received proper information from them and they also assured us for best service from their end. Coming 5-6 days we got the key of our dream home and at last after such a long struggle we got our housing premises without any hurdle and difficulties. Now we live happily in our home which is a true work of housing.com.

A New Life

Change is always scary. That’s why I cried at even the thought of leaving my house in Chennai in order to work in Mumbai. I had landed a job in one of the best accounting firms in the country. It was a dream job, in India’s financial capital. But I was going to be alone, in a place I knew nothing about.  I was going to #StartANewLife.

Nonetheless, I put on a brave face in front of my family and friends. I didn’t want them to know that I was scared. However, I did share my anxiety with my best friend – Vrinda. I told her that I was scared to live alone. What if I wasn’t in a good neighbourhood? I read so much in the newspapers about incidents that happen in Mumbai. Was it really safe for a girl to live alone in the big city?

Vrinda calmed me down. She told me about Housing.com. It was a website where one could find decent places to live at reasonable rates. I browsed the site, and managed to find several options to choose from. I noticed a small flat in Andheri which seemed to be in a good neighbourhood. The lessor was a lady who I spoke to over the phone. I made several inquiries with her, so that I could make an informed decision. I took the Andheri flat after I was completely satisfied.

I bade farewell to my friends and family and moved to Mumbai. The flat was amazing. It was exactly as it had been depicted in the pictures on the website. It was the house of my dreams. I had two days to settle my affairs before I resumed office. During those two days I befriended all my neighbours.  I never felt like I was alone.

I went to office the next day, a bit nervous. I was introduced to the team and was made to say a few words about myself. To my surprise the office environment was very casual. There were all sorts of people there. People of all ages and cultures were in a room of two thousand square feet. There were some girls of my age with whom I could joke around, some old ladies who treated me like their daughter, and even some cute guys to hit on. I told them all about how nervous I was to come to Mumbai. They shared with me similar stories about themselves. I was also surprised that many of them had found places to live in Mumbai thanks to Housing.com.

And that’s the story of how I overcame my fear, which was unwarranted to begin with. I want to convey to my readers that you must never be afraid to #StartANewLife. I don’t find change scary anymore. In fact, I find it rather exciting.

Look Up Stories-My first pace in Law

May 2010, I passed my H.S.C. from one of the reputed government junior college which was basically famous for its Arts stream. After passing my H.S.C. exams I had two choices; one was for Mass Media (B.M.M.) and the second was Law (B.L.S. LL.B-5 Year Law course). I was extremely keen in B.M.M. rather than Law but my dad had a dream to see me as a judge and to reach at that destination first step was to enroll my name as a law student. I tried my best to to convince my dad a lot but he refused to aid me in any way if my choice would be B.M.M.

To be very honest I was without any choice and it became mandatory for me to take admission in law. After two days battle with my dad finally I moved ahead and gave my name for some reputed law colleges and fortunately to say I got selected for GLC (Government Law College, Mumbai) which is the tenth best law college in India.  At last after seeing my name in the merit list I took admission and started attending my law lectures in which I was not so keen.

In few lectures, purposely I didn't pay attention as my desires and dreams were somewhere out of my law college’s building. After a month I set for my constitution lecture and when professor was explaining me about fundamental rights and duties that moment for the first time I took interest to know about it even more in great details. My second lecture was of Contract Act, which was also pretty interesting and I didn't even feel when I accepted law as my career and started doing good during my each semester. One day I was sitting on sofa and my dad asked me how I am finding law. My reply was normal and hesitated to tell him that his choice was perfectly suitable to my area of interest.

Till 4 year of my law I didn't tell my dad that I am really interested in law and I am really doing good at law examinations and moot courts and my dad also didn't feel to ask me. Finally I gave my 7th semester and I scored exceptionally great marks in some subjects and got an internship in some good law firm. As a stipend I was getting reasonably a good amount compared to my other classmates. I was also attentive during law court proceeding and gradually I learnt the technique of tackling the criminal cases with my senior advocates.

I was really enjoying my law life and I actually wanted to say thanks to my dad for choosing a correct career path for me. Simultaneously I said thanks to myself as well because my optimism made me to reach at my dad’s dream which gradually became my dream. I started my own practice; earned a great status in society and understood that this nation needs great lawyers to improve economic and judicial machinery of this country.

Dry baby, happy baby with Pampers Pants

My daughter who taught me and made me to understand motherhood and today when I am a woman of 30 years, I know most of the things about babies just because of my little princess my “Khushi (My daughter)” I have enjoyed with her, played with her, cried with her and also made mistakes with her. November, 2014 when she born and came into my life as my gift of “Diwali”. It was bit irritating when she was born and used to cry for whole night as I didn't have habit of listening all time crying music of babies but gradually I understood and learnt  that babies generally have some internal problems that’s why they do cry because they cannot speak but they can express by their cry only.

Generally my daughter used to cry a lot and so many times we didn't understand that what is wrong which is making her to cry continuously for so long. Sometimes my mom used to suggest me that baby must be having stomach infections or sleeping problems but in the end we understood that she doesn't have any issues among which we were assuming or presuming.

After a period of time my mom suggested me to check baby’s napkins and pants if something is wrong there inside her diaper then accordingly I removed baby’s pant and napkins and we saw there was number of rashes just near to her thigh and then we understood the reason of my angel’s irritation. Subsequently my husband ordered an awesome pack of PAMPERS for his angel and applied some baby powders on her rashes with the consultation of doctor.

Doctor suggested to use only PAMPERS baby pants as it is very soft and comfortable for babies and keeps baby dry from outside and inside also and it is also very helpful for the comfort zone of babies. He/she wakes up with cute and lovely smile on his/her face.

After doctor’s advice we made our angel to wear PAMPERS Pants and our baby once again started laughing and smiling on lullaby which I used to sing for her and started giggling on our funny faces which we used to make to make her laugh. I would say thanks to PAMPPERS to give me my family’s smile back and we all were happy because she was happy and playing perfectly.

Her joyful and charming smile made our life smooth and after such a long time we started having/sharing great time with our baby angel. My daughter who taught me motherhood and proud feeling of being "Mother" and we made her childhood awesome without irritation with the help of PAMPERS Pants and clicked lots of pictures of our baby angel and still those pictures are best part of our life.

I remember when I came to know about PAMPERS Pants I started using it on regular basis. Everyday before my baby goes to sleep I used to change her Pampers pants (diaper) and then breast feeding  to her. My angel had an habit of listing lullaby before going to sleep so everyday I had to sing some sweet lullaby for her; after listening to my lullaby she used to fall asleep peacefully and for making her comfortable I used to change her pants twice in a night. Every morning my baby used to wake up with bright face and sweet smile because her diaper was always dry and which reduced her 80% irritation; All thanks to PAMPERS Pants.

A small token of respect to PAMPERS Team….. Stay with us and keep on going with new and fabulous ideas for new born babies.

Apno Ko Apne Dum Pe Jeena Sikhao with HDFC Life.

HDFC (Housing Development Finance Corporation) is a multinational brand well known for its banking sector and comes under the category of best financial services providing bank.  HDFC Life is an insurance private company which is a joint venture with one of the great brand which is well known as HDFC. This joint venture is a great step taken in order to secure future of your near ones and dear ones and indeed it is an exceptional era of securing your life from any inevitable incidents which can occur in anyone’s life.

I remember when I was in first year of law (almost 4 Years ago) and my dad used to give me 100 rupees per day as my pocket expenses and I used to spend the entire amount just to eat franky, chicken rolls, Chinese and other sort of junk foods. I was just sweet seventeen and was ignorant of so many social hurdles and responsibilities. Finally, a day came in my life and I started doing an internship in my second year of law and as a stipend amount I used to get Rs. 1,500/- for a month which amounts to Rs. 50/- per day.

I was totally disheartened and disappointed when I used to get such a less amount on monthly basis which was lesser than my pocket expenses which I used to get without working anywhere. After some days of my work my dad informed me that he is not going to pay me a single penny (after completing one month of training period) for my expenses as I am earning and I should be independent now. I was totally shocked after hearing my dad’s words because my expenses used to be more than my stipend amount; but somewhere I controlled my anger and moved on in my life.

After a month I received my stipend and I made my expenses schedule in which junk foods/outside food was strictly outside the list because I used to carry my mom made Tiffin everyday and forgot to have all junk foods. I started spending less and I focused on my savings and out of that stipend amount I saved 700 rupees from my 1,500/ stipend and I just spent 315/ rupees on my railway monthly pass from Virar to Churchgate and little bit amount only I spent in the entire month. My happiness was on ninth cloud; for the first time I saved 700 rupees and improved my lots of bad habits.

I shared this incident to my dad. He softly replied “this is what I wanted in you; you always should have habit of savings for your bad time or to help your near ones and dear ones when they are in trouble”. My dad’s words clearly made a silent picture of his encouragement and his guidance and I understood that he wanted me to understand and face the reality in real world and not just in his words.

It is just a month ago when we all were operating Quikr with the help of our laptops or desktops and now today Quikr has made our life easier by launching its extra ordinary service which is known as “Quikr NXT”.

Quikr NXT is an app which helps you to have instant chatting with the buyer or seller. In other words through Quikr NXT buyer and seller can have a conversation. It also includes free delivery of goods purchased, on their platform. There are numerous reasons which can prove that Quikr NXT is an exceptional step taken by Quikr team. I remember an incident when my family wanted to replace our old car and we replaced it with the help of Quikr NXT. Now, here I would like to share my experience with Quikr NXT.

My dad bought his Alto K-10 in 2010; almost for complete four years we used our only car but after a period of time alto K-10 became an old model for me and my family. It was a need of our social status and we had to replace our Alto K-10. In the last week of January 2015, I heard about Quikr NXT app which we can install in our mobile phones and can have a direct message chat with the buyer or seller; and also can share pictures of selling/buying goods. So, I installed this app in my mobile phone and started hunting for an awesome and stunning car to replace my Alto K-10.

After installing Quikr NXT in my mobile phone I selected few cars which were comfortable for my father to drive and status wise also it has to be compatible. My selections of cars were pretty good and everyone in my family liked the same, apparently I started to chat with sellers and asked them about the car’s features, price, coulor and quality. It was totally my destiny that I got an honest seller on Quikr NXT and we fixed up everything related to buying procedure on Quikr NXT only.

It was an amazing experience of using Quikr NXT and first time in my life I saw something unique like Quikr NXT. After continues chatting of 5-6 days finally, I trusted the seller and he was also sounding a genuine gentle man. He agreed to sell his 3 years old Red Xylo car at just Rs. 3.5 lacs; which was a fair amount for such a good conditioned car. He sent few pictures of his car and he was also ready for one test drive so subsequently we requested him to allow us to use his car for one day and then we had a test drive for a day with family. My family members also liked the car and at last after one week’s verifications, chattings etc etc. we replace our Alto K-10 to Red Xylo.

The car which we bought with the help of Quikr NXT was really incredible and everyone in my family liked it a lot. My Red Xylo is an adorable thing for me.

Thank you so much Quikr Team for inventing an exceptional masterpiece.

#BefikarUmarBhar-Dreams with IDBI

My life is full of dreams and demands; demands which I asked from myself and dreams which I see to pamper myself because I love myself. A dream of my bucket list is just not limited to any sort of things or thing. However, human desire and dreams are not restricted but humans do restrict themselves when they feel and get some sort of responsibilities; responsibility of family, career, kids and some other sort of social responsibilities from which no one can rescue at any cost. Today, when I turned to 21 and see myself with so many responsibilities then I get scared and feel that I don’t want to turn into a responsible person.

IDBI Federal which is known for its extra ordinary best schemes and carry a huge number of customers in India. My Bucket List always carries lots of things which I always desire to do if my life would be #BefikarUmarBhar. Now here are the list of top 5 things which I would do if am #BefikarUmarBhar.

My bucket list of #BefikarUmarBhar-

Shopping- If I would be #BefikarUmarBhar then my first choice would be shopping. Like other girls I am also crazy for shopping and I always feel like to spend my entire stipend amount for my shopping but when I see my responsibilities towards my life and career then I always restrict  my shopping habit because I have to secure my life and career. In my #BefikarUmarBhar bucket "Shopping" stands on first place. I love to buy new clothes, shoes, branded handbags, parlour etc etc.

Travelling- I love to travel and I always like to explore new places around the world and if I get heavy amount of money then huge proportion of it I would be spending on travelling. I love to travel around the world with my loved ones. I always had a dream to own my bungalow at Mumbai’s one of the highly standard area which is known as Carter Road-Bandra west; I would love to stay in my dream bungalow with my friends. If my life would be without any problems and tensions then surely travelling would be a thing which I always would be doing to make myself happy.

Luxurious cars-   My third preference obviously would go to luxurious cars. I would be having Mercedes Benz to travel all the way from Virar to Churchgate instead of Mumbai local trains. I would be going to my college with my stunning, hot and handsome partner. Having a luxurious life is a grace of god and luxurious cars give a stunning grace to best high standard life.

Donation- My fourth preference would be donation. As I see that still India comes under the category of poor countries in the world, I feel a sign of ashamed on my face as still there are number of people who doesn't have nutritious food to eat and do not have clean water to drink. My share of money would  also go to poor people of my nation. If my life would be #BefikarUmarBhar, I would made others too.

Property investment- My last choice would be investment on properties as Mumbai is a city where hardly people can afford his/her own home and I would always prefer to spend money in buying properties in different areas of Mumbai. If there is nothing to hold me back I would be spending my money on properties.

As we all love to think and imagine our life without any future hurdles or social responsibilities but sometimes it is not possible for us to go according to our own wish but if I get opportunity I surely would love to do 5 above mentioned things which are also one of my dreams to do because I want to live my life #BefikarUmarBhar.
